Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 October 2026 · Questions: support@euphrate.app

This policy describes what the Euphrates platform (the “Platform”), operated by Hachem LLC (“Euphrates,” “we,” “us”), collects about you, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to euphrate.app, the Euphrates Driver mobile app, and the emails and text messages we send. It is written alongside the Terms of Service, which govern use of the Platform itself.

1. Who this is about

Euphrates is a marketplace where Shippers post freight and Carriers (owner-operators and motor carriers) bid on it. Both hold accounts. We also hold limited information about people who are not account holders — a warehouse contact a Shipper asks to complete a Bill of Lading, a receiver who signs for freight at a dock, or an outside carrier invited by email to quote. Section 4 covers them.

2. What we collect from account holders

Identity and contact. Name, username, email address, phone number, a secondary phone and email if you give them, postal address, company name, and a profile photo if you upload one.

Authority and compliance, for Carriers. DOT number, MC number, and the documents you upload to prove you may carry freight: insurance certificates, vehicle registrations, and driver's licences, together with the expiry dates, insurer name, policy number and cover limits read from them. Truck details you add, including registration documents.

Freight activity. The loads you post or bid on, the prices you quote, messages you send through the Platform, ratings you give and receive, charges recorded against a load, and the record of loads you backed out of.

Position, while a load is moving. If you are the Carrier on an active load, the position of the vehicle carrying it is recorded and shown to the Shipper of that load, until delivery is signed off. This comes from your device through the Platform, or from a connected electronic logging device or telematics provider. Sharing position between loads is separate, off by default, and can be switched off again at any time from your dashboard; where it is on, Shippers see it rounded to approximately one mile.

Bill of Lading records. Photographs taken at pickup and delivery — including a driver's licence and a photograph of the driver, taken by the pickup facility to confirm the right person is collecting the freight — signatures, weight tickets, proof of delivery, seal photos, and any packing list or manifest attached to the document. With each electronic signature we record the words you agreed to, the time, the network (IP) address and the device it was made on, so the signature can be shown to be yours. These are kept with the Bill of Lading record and are not printed on the copy sent to the receiver.

Technical. Sign-in sessions, devices registered to the mobile app, and API tokens you create. Standard server logs.

3. Why we collect it, and what we do not do with it

We use this information to run the marketplace: to match freight with carriers, to let a Shipper judge who is carrying their goods, to produce and seal the Bill of Lading, to tell you about your own loads, and to keep the Platform secure.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising or marketing.

4. Who else sees it

The other side of your own load. A Shipper sees the Carrier they awarded, that Carrier's authority and verification status, and the vehicle's position while their freight is moving. A Carrier sees the Shipper, the pickup and delivery addresses, and the contacts for both. This is the point of the Platform, and there is no way to use it without it.

Anyone who can see a Bill of Lading sees what is on it, including the identity photographs taken at pickup and the signatures at both ends.

Your public profile shows only what a stranger may see — never your phone number, your address, or your documents.

Service providers who process data on our behalf. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job:

  • Render — hosting and the database.
  • Cloudflare R2 — storage for every uploaded file, served through expiring private links.
  • Brevo — sending email.
  • Twilio — sending text messages and placing alert calls.
  • Mapbox — turning addresses into coordinates and calculating routes.
  • Anthropic — reading uploaded insurance and registration documents to fill in expiry dates and cover limits. Documents are sent for that reading and are not used to train models.
  • Stripe — payments: a Shipper's payment for a load, a Carrier's payout, and subscription payments, and the identity check a Carrier completes to be paid. Card and bank account numbers go to Stripe directly and are never stored by Euphrates; we keep only a label: the bank or card brand and the last four digits.

Public records we read, rather than send. We look up DOT and MC numbers against the FMCSA's public QCMobile database to check operating authority, safety ratings and insurance filings. That is a read of a public record; we do not send your personal information to FMCSA.

The Bitcoin blockchain. The Bill of Lading hash chain's head is anchored daily through OpenTimestamps. What is published is a cryptographic hash — a fingerprint that proves a document existed unchanged at a point in time. No load details and no personal information are published on-chain. This cannot be undone: a hash, once anchored, is permanent.

People who are not account holders. Where a Shipper asks a warehouse or broker to complete a Bill of Lading, that person receives a private link that expires, and we record what they entered and the name they gave. A receiver signing for freight at delivery is recorded on the Bill of Lading. An outside carrier invited to quote has their email address stored so the invitation and any reply can be matched to the load.

5. Text messages and calls

If you give us a mobile number, Euphrates may send you text messages and place calls about your own account and your own loads. These are operational messages, never marketing: security alerts — for example when a pickup facility reports that the driver who arrived is not the driver assigned to your load — and one-time codes used to verify your number.

We do not share mobile numbers. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are passed only to the messaging provider that delivers the message on our behalf, and to nobody else.

Message frequency varies with activity on your account and your loads. Security alerts are sent only when such an event occurs, and verification codes only when you request one; most account holders receive few or no messages in a given month.

Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Opting out of text messages does not close your account and does not stop us reaching you by email or in the app — but it does mean an urgent security alert about your freight may reach you more slowly.

6. How long we keep it

Account information is kept while your account is open. Records attached to a completed load — the Bill of Lading, the signatures, the charges — are kept after that, because they are a Carrier's proof of custody and a Shipper's record of what moved, and because a Bill of Lading sealed into the hash chain cannot be removed without breaking the chain for every load sealed after it. Uploaded documents are kept while they are current and for as long as the loads they were verified against are retained.

7. Security

The Platform is served over HTTPS. Uploaded files are held in private storage and reached only through links that expire. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and cannot be read by us or by anyone else. Links sent to people outside the Platform — to complete a Bill of Lading, or to sign at delivery — expire on a fixed clock. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

8. Your choices

  • See and correct what we hold, from your profile pages.
  • Turn off between-loads position sharing at any time from your dashboard. Position on an active load cannot be switched off while the freight is moving; that is part of the service a Shipper is relying on.
  • Sign a lost phone out of the mobile app from your profile, which stops it receiving anything further.
  • Stop text messages by replying STOP.
  • Ask us to delete your account. We will delete it and what belongs to it, except where a record must be kept — principally a sealed Bill of Lading, for the reason given in section 6.

To make any of these requests, write to support@euphrate.app.

9. Children

The Platform is for commercial use by adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

10. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, we will say so on the Platform. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
